For Carol Patterson, it was a $367.83 electric bill during the blisteringly hot summer of 2011 that convinced her she needed to do something to make her home more energy efficient.
Patterson, who serves on the Edwards Aquifer Authority's board of directors, had always been interested in conservation and water management, but power usage hadn't been a topic close to mind.

Alamo Community College District operates a one-stop information center located in the Susan B. Oppenheimer Education and Training Center, 1801 North Main, Room 122. This one-stop center offers information on the CPS Energy Savers Residential Program, energy efficiency upgrades and assists community members who are not computer savvy with the Do-it-Yourself Check-Up (home energy evaluation).
