Helpful Tips.
Once you’ve chosen your contractor, be sure to follow these four helpful hints to guide you through the project from start to finish.
- Make sure you understand the contract before you sign it. Every detail of the project should be outlined in writing, including any discounts and warranty information.
- Agree on a completion date and make sure that you and your contractor stick to it.
- Avoid paying too much before the project starts. While many contractors require a down payment be sure that all payments are in line with the progress of the work that has been completed.
- Only provide final payment when the job has been completed as per the terms of your contract.
